How to get Gold in DEFI Kingdoms

Gold is a token that was added with the profession missions and we have been able to start seeing the different utilities that it will have with the new updates. At the same time, the different ways we can get this token, which will surely play a very important role in the game.

We have been able to see that the Gold will allow us to buy items to improve our heroes, such as potions and even a pet, although we still do not know all the information about it.

Trade

The first way we can buy Gold is through the Marketplace in trade. As it is a token, it can be bought and sold for any token that has liquidity in DEFI Kingdoms, in the trade part.

The price at the moment is 100 Gold for 2 USDC, but it is very likely that this price will change. To find the token, you will need to search for gold or DFKGOLD in order to trade it. You can use your JEWEL, ONE or USDC among many other tokens you have in your wallet to buy Gold.

You can paste the contract in to so that it automatically detects the cryptocurrency, if it doesn’t detect it by searching for gold or dfkgold in the search engine. With the token you want to use and gold in to, simply indicate the amount. Click on swap, confirm in your wallet and that’s it. This way you will have gold in your wallet.

Don’t forget to add the token to your wallet so you can see the amount you have. To do this, copy the contract that you can find just above, go to import token, paste the address and it will detect the token. Simply click on add custom token and you will be able to see from your wallet the amount you have.

Vendor

In vendor we will be able to exchange our resources for Gold. This gives more value to the objects that we can get in the missions of professions, since in addition to being able to be used in the future to make potions, we can always exchange them for Gold or Gold in vendor.

If you click on Marketplace and vendor, and click on sell items, you will see the store. Here, the items that are easier to obtain and that you probably have more, you will receive less gold for it, while the items with lower % to get in a mission you will receive more Gold.

You can click on all the items you have in your inventory and see the amount you will receive for it in Gold. Click on max to see the total amount if you exchange them all, instead of seeing the unit price. If you want to exchange an item, click on approve contract, and confirm in your wallet.

Once you have approved the contract, you will see the sell for Gold button, click there, confirm in your wallet and you are done. You will now have obtained Gold in exchange for your items that you obtained in the profession missions.

I recommend you to always save some items and not exchange them all for Gold, because apart from being used to get Gold, the items will have their own uses to make potions and if you sell all your items for Gold, in future updates you may have to buy the resources if you want to make any of these potions. So I recommend you to always save some amount of these resources that you get in the quests.

Miner

Finally, we can get Gold with the miner profession. If you go to professions and click on miner, you will see the start gold mining option. Here you can select one or more heroes and use them to get Gold directly.

It is recommended to use heroes that are miners to get more Gold, or with high strength and endurance attributes, as these are the attributes that benefit this profession. Even so, you can use all types of heroes, but with these requirements you will get more Gold.

The amount of Gold you get is very variable, depending on the hero and the attributes, but if you have a mining hero, it is certainly more worth using it here than in other trades. In the case of heroes with other professions, it may be more worthwhile to focus on their main profession, and the resources you get if you want to exchange them later for Gold.

Uses

The uses that we have been able to see for the moment of Gold, is in vendor, if you click on buy items, you can see what items you can buy with Gold, for the moment potions and a golden egg pet. Although it is not yet known what use the potions or the pet egg will have, by their name you can get an idea of what they will be.

The other use we know Gold will have is to make potions. Instead of buying them, you will be able to make potions in the alchemist, and these potions will require different items from profession quests, such as fish, plants, or DFKTEARS, in addition to Gold. Although the potions do not know what use they will have, by their names we can get an idea of what each potion will do.

At the moment there are no more uses for Gold, but we have seen in the last updates how they added the vendor store to buy items with Gold and then use it in the alchimist to make potions. It is very likely that in future updates they will add more functionality to this token, with different uses, or more items to buy with this token.
